The stimulation that the collar puts out is very mild, in fact, many owners try it out themselves and equate it to the feeling of stim pads which are used by physical therapists! It’s more of a pulsation of the muscle than it is a “shock.” The sensation your dog experiences is just unpleasant enough for them to want to avoid it. In fact, once you complete our hands on one-on-one training after installation, your dog learns to avoid the correction by yielding to the audible warning tone. All dogs quickly learn the boundary of the non visible dog fencing system and they learn to stay away from the boundary or they move away when they hear the audible tone. Using this state-of-the-art warning system, your dog very rarely needs need an actual correction for the collar. Remember, our pet containment system is also veterinarian-approved!
Once we complete the professional installation of your non visible dog fence, we then mark off the boundary with flags. These flags create a visible boundary line for your dog so they can actually learn, identify, and “see” where their boundaries are. For one to two weeks, the owner is instructed to spend fifteen minutes a couple times per day walking the dog around these flag boundaries. If your dog approaches the boundary flags, you tell them “No” and pull them away from the flags followed by praise when they come towards you. Once the system is turned on, you repeat this process and they dog learns the boundary. Once this is established, the flags can be removed and you are left with an out-of-sight fencing system!
Yes, of course! You can take your dog outside of the pet containment fence at anytime you wish! You just simply remove his electric fence collar and you can take them wherever you wish!
Our transmitter box that is installed in an easily accessible location has three colored indicator lights. The red and green lights will be on at all times if this system is functioning properly, if you see a yellow light, that is letting you know something is wrong. Due to our high quality of products and our lifetime warranty, your system should only stop working in the most extreme of circumstances.
